The latest “American Horror Story” teaser trailer puts the witch burnings front and center, and will this really be Jessica Lange’s last season of the huge hit series?
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, “American Horror Story’s” reigning diva waxed poetic that ending her run with the show after the third season might make a nice trilogy, but she may come back for Season 4. But that would definitely be the end of the line for her involvement with the series, despite the Emmy’s its earned her.
“I think that would be the absolute stop date. One more after this, because…it takes up a lot of time. It’s a big commitment every year. There’s a lot of other things that I want to be doing.”
This season the show is all about Salem witches vs New Orleans Voodoo, with Angela BassettĀ joining the cast as Marie Laveau. Lange plays Fiona, and returning cast member Sarah Paulson — or “Lana Banana” last season as Lange referred to her last season — will play her daughter this go ’round. Let’s hope mother and daughter have less issues than Sister Jude and Lana did last season, but this is “American Horror Story,” so don’t count on a peaceful household.
“This season she plays my daughter, although it’s a rather strange relationship,” said Lange. “It has many twists and turns.”
We’re sure it does.
The new season premieres October 9, and here’s another teaser trailer to hold you over while you wait.
Here we go again with the latest teaser trailer for “American Horror Story,” Season 3.We’re back to “House of the Rising Sun” for the theme music, with a weird kind of suspension going on here. Not sure what the meaning is, or if there is supposed to be any real meaning at all.
The series is filming in New Orleans and premieres in October. Oh, we can’t wait, even with all the deliciously creepy teasers they give us each season! Jessica Lange (above is definitely returning for this season, and some new cast members include Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett.
The fake promos for Season 3 as we are still waiting on the real ones. Get crackin’ guys.
The creative team at “American Horror Story” have released the first two teaser trailers for the upcoming Season 3 of the series, set in New Orleans. If they follow previous publicity campaigns, we can expect these to trickle out till the premiere in October on at least a weekly basis. And some good creepy clips.
The first teaser announces the city of Season 3, which of course we already know is New Orleans. But true to form, they pair it with unsettling, surreal imagery as only they can do.
Then the second teaser introduces the voodoo concept, with a human serving as a bit of a pincushion rather than a doll. I actually found this one a bit disappointing and not nearly as scary as their past efforts. But here you go:
With co-creator Ryan Murphy dishing about magic and witchcraft, and a setting that’s “seen true horror,” “American Horror Story” fans have pretty much figured out we’re going to Salem next fall. But has that inspired some craft fans to create their own promos, or are these the real deal? These are looking pretty convincing, not just in quality but style, mimicking that eclecetic creepy vibe we love so much.

Those crazy creative folks behind “American Horror Story” released yet another second season teaser this week, using the recurring white nun character. This time, our favorite creepy nun is crowd surfing… at a rave.
Alrighty.
You certainly can’t fault this team for not being able to think out of the box. Original ideas, stunning and disturbing imagery, technical expertise — why are these guys doing TV and not motion pictures? Oh wait, they’re not doing remakes, so Hollywood has no place for them these days.
It’s a sad note in the film industry when you now have to go to TV to be an original.
Oh well, enough preaching to the choir, just check out the raving nun in the latest “American Horror Story: Asylum” teaser.
