Full disclaimer: I don’t usually like horror comedies—unless Bruce Campbell is flailing around with a chainsaw hand. Evil Dead? Masterpiece. But for the rest, I tend to prefer my horror dark, moody, and without the giggle track. So take this review with a grain of salt (or a gummy, depending on your local laws).

That said, The Weedhacker Massacre knows exactly what it is—and doesn’t pretend otherwise. This is pure camp: goofy, green-tinged, smoke-filled chaos from start to finish. The jokes come faster than the body count, and almost all of them are, yes, weed puns. If you’re rolling your eyes already, this might not be your strain of horror. But if you are rolling something else… well, let’s just say this movie might suddenly seem like comic genius.

The plot? A cursed film crew decides to shoot their low-budget horror flick on the same grounds where grisly murders actually happened, and surprise—the killer’s back. What follows is part parody, part splatter, and all self-awareness. The cast, including David Treviño, Molly Sakonchick, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s own Allen Danziger (as Sheriff Danzinshoos—say that three times fast), fully commit to the madness, chewing scenery like it’s the last edible at the wrap party.

Honestly, this isn’t a film you watch for scares—it’s a film you throw on at a Halloween party, somewhere between the third drink and the point when someone’s raiding the candy bowl for “medicinal purposes.” It’s bad, it knows it’s bad, and that’s kind of the beauty of it.
