Last minute, CHEAP Halloween decoration – glowing blood bowl!

glowbowl3

This glowing bloody bowl is an awesome way to make your porch look spooky and it provides a good lighting for sitting on the porch handing out candy. It’s really easy –and cheap — Halloween decoration. It will glow for a couple hours, probably just long enough for you to get through trick-or-treating. You could also use it for a Halloween Party, if you do this you may have to refresh it every once in a while. Let’s get started on how to do this!

Supplies

Glass bowl (Dollar Store $1), Red Puffy Paint (Wal-Mart, $1), Jumbo Glow Stick (Dollar Store, $1), and Water

Procedure

-First you need to physically make your bloody bowl. So using your red puffy paint, take it around the rim of the glass bowl and make it look like dripping blood. Go all the way around your rim. Make sure that you don’t make all the lines the same length because switching them up for lengths gives it a more realistic look. *Another idea would be to cover your hand in paint and make a “bloody” hand print on your bowl.

-Allow for your paint to dry.

-Next, You just need to crack your glow stick as you normally would. Then cut off the top of your glow stick and pour it into your bowl.

-Then, just fill the rest of your bowl up with water and stir it up.

There you have it! Now you have an awesome glowing decoration to be used on Halloween! Have fun and enjoy!

First look: Dark Touch trailer

DarkTouch

The new face of little girls gone bad? See the new trailer for the film “Dark Touch.”

Independent filmmakers + moody horror = creepy, innovative films courtesy of IFC midnight.

Their latest release, “Dark Touch,” opens in theaters September 27, as well as being available on video on demand, SundanceNow and iTunes. The film was an official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival and was directed by French filmmaker Marina De Van, whose previous film credits include “In My Skin.”

In “Dark Touch,” 11-year-old Neve lives in a remote Irish town, and finds herself as the sole survivor of a family massacre that kills her parents and younger brother. The police want to blame it on homicidal vandals. They ignore the young girl’s insistence that is something much darker that killed her family. Something about the house itself.

The trailer also reveals the girl claims that bad things happen when she cries. This looks like it could be a younger, darker version of the popular book and movie “Carrie,” but where “Carrie” played on teen angst at being the outsider, this film looks like it’s going more for supernatural horror in the form of a little girl whose tears can kill.

Or at least that’s what it looks like to me. What do you think?

More ‘Haven’ spoilers with Eric Balfour (Audio Exclusive)

Last week I got to dish on the fabulous “Haven” with one of its stars, Lucas Bryant. This week, me and some other media reps got to chat with Eric Balfour, the charismatic yet mysterious “Duke” on the series. And sadly for him, the odd man out in the somewhat unconventional love triangle that runs through the “Haven” series.

Ah, the pain of unrequited love.

Here is a sound clip of part of the call, where Balfour talks about his character’s arc for this season, finding the “one true love,” and the real bromance between him and Lucas.

‘The Walking Dead’ Sneak Peek

I know you all are itching for your zombie fix on Sunday nights, so here’s a little behind-the-scenes video on the set of  “The Walking Dead”  from AMC to help hold you over till the season premieres October 13. Looks a bit chaotic in some of the prison scenes here. Get the inside scoop from cast and producers on what to expect next season.

Other show news this week was that one episode of the season will follow a comic book in the series pretty much verbatim, but of course, they aren’t saying which one. Nice way to get tv viewers to pick up the comics, you marketing masters.
