I’m going to start a weekly column on Saturdays featuring one cool, horror-themed music video every week, and I had to kick it off with this classic psychobilly tune and video from Aussies Zombie Ghost Train. Alas, the band has disbanded.
Although short-lived, the band releases two albums, Glad Rags & Body Bags and Dealing the Death Card, as well as an EP, Monster Formal Wear. Since disbanding, bassist Captain Reckless and drummer Azzy T have formed Captain Reckless and the Lost Souls, but Reckless now plays guitar, which is a crying shame: I have never seen a faster bass player in my life, and still good.
The video for “R.I.P.”, directed and edited by vocalist/guitarist Stu Arkoff, is good ol’ schlockey horror fun, but I dare you not to get sucked in with this irresistible tune.
